Over The Head Lifts
TowelChi Health and Fitness Concepts - Over The Head Pulls Routine
 
Position: Horse stance. Keep your knees and elbows bent.
Towel: Fold the towel in half. Hold one end of the towel in each hand. Bring your arms up and over your head. Keep the towel taut to add resistance when toning and loose while practicing aerobics or freestyle routines.
Movement:

Bring your left arm down as you pull the right arm up and over your head.

Allow your right arm and torso to stretch as you pull over with the left arm.

Hold this position for a second, take a deep breath and then straighten up.

Now repeat to the other side. Bring down your right arm down as you pull your left arm over your head.

Again stretch as you hold this position and then straighten up.

Duration:
10 to 20 times per side.
Remember: Make adjustments for comfort and form by grabbing the towel closer or further away from the other hand. Always remember that small adjustments can change the feel and affects of the routine. Breathe with each movement.
Variation: Try holding the towel with your hands closer together and then further apart.
