Leg Sweeps
TowelChi Health and Fitness Concepts - Leg Sweeps Routine
 
Position: Open stance.
Towel: Fold the towel in half. Holding the towel taut, wrap one end of the towel around each hand.
Movement:

Hold the towel about shoulders width apart and at chest level. Keep your elbows facing down.

Gently raise your left leg and sweep it over till it is crossing your right leg.

Use the towel for balance keeping it on the same side as the leg sweep.

Drop your left leg back and push off on it and sweep again.

Repeat with the other leg. Raise your right leg up and cross it over your left leg while you simultaneously bring your left arm back and right arm forward.

Duration:
10 or 15 times with each leg.
Remember: Inhale deeply through your nose with each movement.
Variation: Try a low cross kick by swiping your foot in front of the other and extending the heal of the foot. See V Foot Slide.
